Childcare Costs and Funding

Costs

Costs are discussed on an individual basis during your first visit as they need to be calculated to include factors such as the number of sessions chosen or the eligibility of funding. Fees are paid monthly by standing order in advance on the first of the month.

You could reduce your childcare costs through Tax Free Childcare.

Funding for 3 and 4 year old children.

From the beginning of the term after their third birthday all 3 year old children are eligible to receive 15 hours of free education during term time. This continues when they become 4 years old.

The Haven 2000 offers 30 hours funding during school term times to families who are eligible to claim. It will be offered on a sessional basis where each session is of 5 hours in duration (8am to 1pm/1pm to 6 pm). We remain open during school holidays and ask Parents and Carers to book in advance, the additional paid sessions that they will require during the holidays.

Although education is free, food and services are not free

All funded sessions are subject to charges for meals and snacks, nappies, wipes and nappy cream. The Haven charges monthly for these. Universal credits or Tax Free Childcare may contribute towards these costs.
