Tip toppers

Tip toppers are our children aged between 3 and 5 years who attend the pre-school unit of our nursery. The emphasis at this stage is the development of independence and the fostering of educational skills in preparation for school. We have the benefit of a full time qualified teacher with specialist training in Early Years Education.

Learning is play based. The teacher and staff guide children through the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is the same curriculum which is in place for all children regardless of which pre-school setting they attend. The focus at this stage is on providing challenging activities which allow children to make choices and let them learn.

Our team are passionate about helping children to develop their own potential but never lose sight of the fact that they are also caring for little children who thrive on warm relationships.

We encourage parents to be fully involved in their child’s learning. Each child’s development is monitored, recorded and shared with parents both informally and formally through a termly report.
