The Haven has an advantage over many other nurseries in that we have the services of a full time qualified teacher with specialist training in Early Years Education.

Maria teaches and leads the staff in helping children to achieve goals in the “Early Years Foundation Stage” in preparation for school.

So does having a teacher in pre school mean that little children are being forced to learn instead of playing? No! Exactly the opposite!

Children are at the heart of everything we do at The Haven. Maria and our team know that children learn best when they feel valued.

We get to know each child so well that we can plan activities based on his/her own interests and abilities. We have high expectations of children and are dedicated to helping them achieve their own potential, through fun and play.

Maria and the team know that your child is unique and we actively encourage you to share in your child’s learning. We will consult you and ask you “what works well at home. “ Although we will share worthwhile information with you on a daily basis we also monitor your child’s development and will share their progression with you in a termly report.
